Funded through the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, the Excelsior Collaborative Community Action Grants & Community Event Grants will award up to $5,000 for projects and up to $1,000 for events.
Projects must start after September 1, 2019. Events with proposed dates in 2019 or 2020 are eligible and must have occurred for 2 or more years in the Excelsior community. The theme and focus of this grant cycle is RESILIENCY, how your project ties into the City's Resiliency Plan to prepare for natural disasters on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis. Resilency demonstrates how you'll cope with a crisis or to return to pre-crisis status quickly. These grants will put funds into the hands of community members to accomplish the following objectives:
