Visit EAG every Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM to help with the Ever Upward mosaics.  The process is free and open to any community member who wants to learn how to mosaic and leave a lasting mark on the Excelsior!  We need YOU to bring this public art to life!

The Ever Upward Fundraising Project

In Latin, the word "Excelsior" means "Ever Upward."  Driven by passionate community members, visionary local artists, and the Excelsior Action Group, the Ever Upward project will install a sculpture at the corner of Geneva Avenue and Mission Street to mark the Southern Gateway to San Francisco's Excelsior Neighborhood.  Ever Upward was conceived through a community design process led by Excelsior artists Isis Rodriguez and Jason Gilmore that included over 200 local participants.  Standing 14-feet tall, the forged metal flame atop the mosaic column will be erected in honor of our neighborhood's long tradition of immigrants and working class families who endeavor to raise themselves ever upward.  The Excelsior Action Group & a committed team of community volunteers are working to raise $10,000.00 for completion costs and a maintenance endowment to create, install, and preserve Ever Upward for years to come.  Help to support this community project please.  All donations are tax deductible.

Excelsior Library Beautification Project

In response to community feedback at our February 9th Community Meeting, the Excelsior Action Group's Beautification Committee, in partnership with Clean City Coelition, has received a community challenge grant to beautify the San Francisco Public Library's Excelsior Branch. The project is still in the early conceptual phases and we want your input! Help us by attending the Excelsior Beautification Committee Meetings.
