EAG Can Help You in Your Search

The Excelsior Outer Mission is a wonderful location for small businesses. It's loyal clientele, bustling streets, convenient access to public transit, and tight-nit community make it ideal for any businesses-new or well-established. In addition to all this, EAG is committed to helping new merchants become situated in the Excelsior and offers a variety of support throughout the process, and all for free. 

  • Eyes and Ears: It can sometimes be cumbersome to look for listings while also running your business. Given EAG's presence in the neighborhood, we can help match you with a listing and a listing agent as it comes up. 
  • Support You During a Showing: EAG can accompany you to a showing, if you would like some added support during the process.
  • Permit Support: EAG works with the support of the Mayor's Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD). Because of this, we are both committed in helping new businesses navigate the often times complex permitting process. 
  • Financing: EAG's network of small business support agencies can help with the cost of financing. In addition to this, EAG is well versed in financing options that are neighborhood based. 
  • Tapping into Merchant Networks: No one does it alone, not even merchants. EAG can connect you to local merchants, as well as merchant groups and associations to give you that additional support as you open up your business. 
  • Design Support: Give your business an aesthetic that works. EAG, through its outreach and Beautification committee, has done many surveys to understand what the community would like to see in their local business. It's no mystery that your façade and interior design will help add to the appeal of your business and we have the resources to guide you through the design process.
  • Knowing Which Businesses will Work: Through EAG's community survey's, we have gathered a lot of data to understand the current amenities and businesses Excelsior residents would like see in their commercial corridor. EAG is more than happy to share that information to help make sure that the next business that comes the corridor is a community supported business. 
  • Market Your Business: Get your name out to the community! EAG is focussed on helping new business in the Excelsior Corridor succeed, and one of the best ways to do that is by getting your name out to the community. There are many avenues we use to help get new business known, from introducing yourself at a community meeting to promoting you in our newsletter or social media pages.
