ARTS  &  CULTURAL ADVOCACY

Promotion

PUBLIC & COMMUNITY advocacy

EAG continues to engage small businesses in program engagement, financial coaching, and
safety check-ins. Now during COVID-19, we are supporting small business with mini and micro grants and
offer continued support to businesses especially those facing displacement.

EAG supports businesses  along the Excelsior and Outer Mission Corridors. Services ranged from program engagement, financial coaching, and safety check- ins. We create exciting networking events, festivals and pub crawls to engage businesses and community members.
EAG spearheads multiple safety initiatives, such as "hot spots", better lighting and street striping. Most recently EAG is working with SFMTA on the Mission- Geneva Street Safety Improvement Project
EAG works with various community partners, artists and volunteers to produce and execute key
community arts and cultural events;
including projects like, the Banner Project, the Ever Upward Sculpture, the Kenny Alley Mosaic Stairs, the Excelsior Library Gallery Wall, as well as various multicultural events we produce throughout the year.  Additionally, we also offer follow up support to our community driven projects with our recently added clean-up and maintenance program, merchant walks and regular
check-ins, in support of our merchants.  Our arts advocacy extends to business assistance with SF Shines Funded Grants projects to improve the appearance of our businesses' storefront facades.  We also work with them to improve the function of their operations.

EAG promotes existing businesses with events & fundraisers and welcomes new businesses with "Grand Opening" support, including funding and publicity
